The story is about two sisters, Anita and Mona, and starts off with Mona getting married. Anita is in high spirits that she can finally give her younger sister, Mona, the wedding she has always dreamed of. On the other hand, Anita is herself in no relationship and tries dating through the internet when her friends push her. Giving love another chance, she meets someone who she believes is the man of her dreams. It is here that this fairy tale like story takes a tragic turn with Anita finding out that her lover is not all he seems.
Tyler Perry is an American actor, screenwriter, playwright, songwriter, producer and director. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, he debuted in the American entertainment industry in 1992 and has gone on to become one of the most successful film producers and directors in the US. He rose to fame during the nineties when he wrote and produced many popular plays. By 2011, he had become the Highest Paid Man in Entertainment, with Forbes ranking him Number One with an income of one hundred and thirty million dollars in a year.
As an actor, Tyler Perry has also captured the spotlight. He is particularly famous for playing the role of Madea, a character he created that has become a staple of American entertainment. His stage plays are often adapted into very successful movies. One of his first movies was I Know Ive Been Changed, which premiered in 1998. Some of his more recent works include Diary of a Mad Black Woman, which featured Madea. He has also created many popular TV shows, which are watched daily by millions in the US and the world over.
His best known TV show is Tyler Perrys House of Payne, a very successful show that ran for eight long seasons. It premiered in 2006 and ran until 2012. He has also collaborated with many other entertainers, such as partnership with Oprah Winfrey and her TV network, OWN, which has seen him create two original series; Love Thy Neighbor and The Haves and the Have Nots. The series have been very successful in terms of ratings and are also critically acclaimed, ranked as the biggest success stories on the network.
Tyler Perry is currently working on animate film featuring Madea, aimed at children. His movies have earned big bucks; Diary of a Mad Black Woman earned fifty plus million dollars on a five million dollar budget with the second Madea movie earning sixty five million dollars. By 2011 alone, his movies had earned a staggering half a billion dollars. As an author, his books have topped the New York Times Best Seller List and won such awards as the Quill Awards Best Humor Book.
