If your in Atlanta on June 26th thru June 28th, you may be in luck. One of Atlanta's Treasure, The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will be performing live and tickets are available for 2 seperate concerts.
During June 2014, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will play three free Performance on the Promenade concerts in Piedmont Park.
Here’s the lineup:
-Thursday, June 12, at 7:30 p.m.: Finlandia, Peer Gynt Suite, Dances of Galanta, Romeo & Juliet overture, & more
-Thursday, June 19, at 7:30 p.m.: Overture to The Barber of Seville, Four Hungarian Dances, Capriccio Italien, & Dvořàk’s Symphony No. 8 in G major
-Thursday, June 26, at 7:30 p.m.: An American Salute: The Cowboys Overture, Grand Canyon Suite– Sunset, Three Dances from Rodeo, Bugler’s Holiday, Overture to Girl Crazy, Superman March, & more.
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Piedmont Park Conservancy have partnered to again present an Atlanta institution – free, live orchestral performances in Piedmont Park. Since the tradition began on June 17, 1976 with a rousing performance led by the famed conductor Robert Shaw, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra has performed over 100 concerts for over 100,000 audience members in Piedmont Park since. Performance on the Promenade, it is a ticketed event, and all patrons, including small children, must have a ticket. Tickets are available online only, and they sell quickly, so don’t delay.
Performances will take place on Piedmont’s Promenade, located in the northwest corner of the park, directly adjacent to the Botanical Gardens and the parking garage. You can bring food & non-alcoholic beverages, as well as blankets and low-back stadium seat chairs.
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will also be returning to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park to "Celebrate America" on June 28, 2014.
ASO Assistant Conductor Joseph Young leads the Orchestra in a program of patriotic favorites, including Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, Anderson's Bugler's Holiday, Gershwin's Summertime, and more. Children 12 and under admitted free on the lawn with an adult. All veterans and active military personnel with a valid military ID may receive up to four complimentary tickets for this performance.

For those that don't know, The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) is an American orchestra based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Robert Spano has been its music director since 2001. The ASO's main concert venue is Atlanta Symphony Hall in the Woodruff Arts Center.
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performs more than 200 concerts each year for a combined audience of more than a half million in a full schedule of performances, including educational and community concerts. A recognized leader and supporter of contemporary American music, the Orchestra received the 2007 award for Strongest Commitment to New American Music from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.
