James Taylor 2014 North American Tour Dates
Grammy Award-winner and Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Inductee, James Taylor, announced he and his all-star band will be hitting the road touring throughout the summer.
Taylor and his band will tour across the U.S., parts of Canada, and also arenas in Europe. The North American leg of the tour kicked off on May 30th in Portland, OR, at the Moda Center, but Taylor also performed earlier this year at the Musicares Person of the Year Gala in Los Angeles on on January 24 where fans were delighted by his unique voice and guitar playing skills of more than 40 years.
Taylor, who is currently working on his first album of original compositions since 2002’s October Road, will be part of a set of special performances on board the England-bound Queen Mary 2 cruise ship for several performances during its August 27-September 4 eight-day sail. Taylor will then kick off the 14-date European Leg of the tour at Plymouth Pavilions on September 5th, performing at places like Norway’s Konserthus, Belgium’s Cirque Royal and Dublin’s The O2, before wrapping things up with a two-night performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall on October 7-8. After several little break in between, James Taylor and his All Star band will oick right back up on March 7th in Geneva, Switzerland at the Théâtre du Leman Genève. Over the course of his celebrated song-writing and performing career, Taylor has sold more than 100 million albums, earning gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards for classics ranging from Sweet Baby James in 1970 to October Road in 2002. He has won multiple Grammy awards and has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the prestigious Songwriters Hall of Fame. Most recently, Taylor was awarded the distinguished Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government and the National Medal of Arts by President Barack Obama in a White House ceremony.
